Ridiculously Easy Artisan Bread (Only 4 Ingredients!)

This bread is literally so easy you’ll feel like you’re cheating. But it’s SO good and looks so impressive that people will never believe it only has 4 ingredients (water being one of them!!) and it only took you about five minutes to put together!

I got the idea to do this from my sister-in-law. She had us a few years ago and she served a similar bread and I loved it so much she told me it was Easy Overnight Artisan Bread.

I was immediately sure that I was probably going to screw it up. You see, I’ve tried a few recipes that have “Artisan” in them and they’ve never turned out great.

I’ve convinced myself that Artisan and I just don’t work together! But inspired my sourdough bread successI decided to pluck up the courage to try again!

bread drizzled with honey and butter

I was in Kansas staying at my family’s house and I wanted to bake bread but I didn’t have my sourdough starter. I remembered the wonderful Overnight Artisan Bread that my sister-in-law used to make for us and decided to try googling to see if I could find a similar recipe.

I landed on this and he quickly mastered it. It was so good and my extended family – who ate it for Sunday lunch – loved it too. In fact, the whole loaf didn’t even make it to lunch!

After I returned home to Tennessee, I tried to do it again. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out so well. I ended up doing this a few times to see what worked and what didn’t. After several tries and different versions, I think the recipe below is really fail-proof.

I hope you enjoy it and that it becomes a favorite in your home too!
