In partnership with Lane 7, ONSIRINThe luxury ready-to-wear brand, founded in late 2023, took center stage on Saturday, February 10, 2024 for its New York Fashion Week debut.

Hailing from the Parsons School of Design, designer and founder Onsirin Buranupakorn called the collection “Great Feminine Appropriation,” emphasizing traditional feminine silhouettes with a deconstructed edge.

Presenting five outfits, 3 women’s and 2 men’s, Onsirin was quickly seen as an up-and-coming designer to watch.

“This collection is rooted in the history of menswear and the idea of ’The Great Masculine Renunciation’, a cultural movement in the 18th century when men ‘abandoned their claim to be considered beautiful’ and stopped dressing in colors and elaborate silhouettes,” says Onsirin.

In the debut collection, “Great feminine affection”, Onsirin combines the constructive details known from traditional menswear – suits, lapels, shoulder pads, ties with a hyper-feminine ode to old Hollywood and haute couture of the 1950s and 1960s.
