NYC robbers break into a man’s apartment, zip tie his hands

Two robbers broke into a 60-year-old man The Bronx An apartment and zip tied his hands in a terrifying robbery, police said Monday.

The thieves forced their way into the man’s apartment a few steps away Yankee Stadium near the corner of E. 162nd St. and River Ave. around 7 p.m. on Oct. 19, cops said.

Once inside, they handcuffed the men and locked the apartment.

The thieves made off with $5,000 in cash and drove off in a dark SUV, police said.

The victim was not injured in the robbery.

Police released footage of one of the robbers on Monday in the hope that someone will recognize him. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800′) 577-TIPS.
