Alcedo Care opens office in Ulverston

FGrowing independently owned and family home care provider Alcedo Care has expanded further in Cumbria with the opening of a new office on Morecambe Road in Ulverston.

Alcedo’s new office in Ulverston, which signals an investment of around £225,000 and will create around 100 local jobs, is the company’s second site in Cumbria, the first opened in Kendal just over 12 months ago.

With a growing presence in Cumbria, Alcedo Care can provide up to 2,000 hours of care per week from the new office for individuals who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes.

Led by registered manager Victoria Leecy (also registered manager of the Kendal branch), the new branch will look to secure additional clients across Cumbria and offer an excellent portfolio of home care services including personal care, nursing, comprehensive nurse-led care, more support and company. Alcedo also provides apartment accommodation and comprehensive childcare.

Alcedo Care Group Managing Director, Andy Boardman, says: “We opened our Kendal branch over 12 months ago and it has been hugely successful. Demand for home care in the region continues to grow, so we have made the strategic decision to open a second branch in Ulverston to cater for additional clients across Cumbria.”

Victoria is supported by Abigail Capstick who is Care Manager for the Ulverston branch. He says: “It’s great news that we’ve opened a second branch in Cumbria, which gives us the opportunity to expand across the region and reach more clients who need our services.”
