Hospitality group to expand East Yorkshire presence with new Portuguese restaurant in Beverley

New Portuguese restaurant Casa Peri Peri is opening soon in Beverley’s Flemingate centre.

YYorkshire-based hospitality company Dabangg Group has announced it is opening a new Portuguese restaurant in East Yorkshire.

Casa Peri Peri is taking over a unit in the center of Beverley’s Flemingate as the chain expands from its original roots in Wakefield.

It will be the second restaurant in Flemingate owned by The Dabangg Group, which already operates popular Brazilian grill Estábulo in Beverley.

The new restaurant in East Yorkshire will create 20 jobs and join a number of successful restaurants in Flemgate.

Flemingate is owned and operated by Hull-based property development and management company Wykeland Group, which has secured another high-quality offering for East Yorkshire’s leading retail and leisure destination.

Zac Issak, owner of The Dabangg Group, which is bringing Casa Peri Peri to Flemgate, said: “We are delighted to be bringing our most popular Portuguese flavors to Beverley and can’t wait to open our doors to customers.

“Through our sister restaurant Estábulo, we have been at the heart of the Flemingate food scene for many years and we see the center expanding its range of high-quality establishments.

We are sure that visitors to Casa Peri Peri will love our dishes, which are perfect for families and a wide variety of guests.

The Dabangg Group is a growing Yorkshire-based hospitality company that also operates the original Casa Peri Peri in Wakefield; Japanese/Brazilian tapas restaurant SakkuSamba; British restaurant Brasserie Fleur; and IKARO, a high-end restaurant and late-night bar soon to open in Manchester.

Casa Peri Peri’s signature dishes include pulled beef burgers, peri peri grill bowls, and rice bowls with peri peri toppings.

Desserts on the menu range from Oreo cheesecake and hot fudge brownie sizzler to classics including sticky toffee pudding and ice cream.

The word “casa” translates to “house” in Latin, so Casa Peri Peri is literally a peri peri house.

Peri peri sauce was originally produced by the Portuguese in South Africa and has since become a global cuisine favorite.

Casa Peri Peri will be the latest culinary addition to Flemingate, hot on the heels of American restaurant Beverley Hills Diner & Bar, which opened in July.

David Donkin, Property Director at Wykeland Group, said: “The upcoming opening of Casa Peri Peri in Flemgate builds on the successful relationship we have had with Zac and the team at Estábulo for many years.

“We were delighted to hear of their ambitions to open another restaurant in Flemgate and Casa Peri Peri is a perfect fit for the centre.

“We would like to send our best wishes to the entire team at Casa Peri Peri on the opening. We know guests in Beverley and beyond will be looking forward to another exciting addition to Flemgate’s food and drink offering.”
